AWS Launches Mobile App to Engage The Community

SINGAPORE - September 4th 2013 - AWS leads the market by being amongst the first company in the industry to embrace mobile technology to engage with customers and prospective clients. The AWS Mobile App for Android smartphones is now downloadable from Google Playstore (XXX) with the iOS version for Apple phones to follow.

Apart from the usual company and product information, the mobile app encourages users to interact with it. Some of the innovation:

Interactive Features
Users can use the Email Photo Tab to email current photos or snap a photo and send it via the app.

For example :

  • Users can take a photos during an events and send over to you in order to stand a chance to win prizes.
  • Users can also send buildings images that they are interested for AWS to comment or request for a proposal.

Social Media
Users can share articles on Facebook, Twitter, SMS, email, or use the Wall function to post comments, share location and photos. This provides instant feedback. Or an AWS staff can simply post a casual invite to say they are “around the area and are free for tea and a chat after 5pm”.

Mailing List and Message Tab
Prompts users to request for newsletters and to receive notifications on coming events and news.

QR Coupon and Scanner Tab
This facility is multipurpose. For example, it can be used for redemption during an events by scanning the QR code; or to enable users to learn more about the equipment previously installed by AWS by scanning a code on the equipment surface.

With one of the highest penetration of mobile smartphones occurring in Asia, AWS again paves the way in using out-of-box thinking to engage and better serve its community of users.
